In the 2022 Alaska U.S. Senate election, held on November 8, 2022, was the first to implement the state's new top-four nonpartisan blanket primary and ranked-choice voting system. Murkowski received 43.39% of first-choice votes in the general election, Tshibaka 42.62%, Chesbro 10.73%, and Kelley 3.26%. As no candidate achieved a majority, the ranked-choice voting process was initiated. Murkowski emerged victorious after the redistribution of votes in the third round with 53.70% of the vote.
