The 2024 Ohio 6th Congressional District special election, held on June 11, 2024, filled the vacant House seat after Republican Bill Johnson resigned to become president of Youngstown State University. Republican state Sen. Michael A. Rulli won the race with 54.64% of the vote, defeating Democrat Michael L. Kripchak.
