2025 Florida 1st Congressional District Special Election Results

The 2025 Florida 1st Congressional District Special Election was held on April 1, 2025, to fill the U.S. House seat vacated by Republican Matt Gaetz after his resignation, and Republican Jimmy Patronis won with 56.91% of the vote over Democrat Gay Valimont. Despite losing, Valimont significantly improved the Democratic performance and even won Escambia County, which is the first time a Democrat had done so in the district since 1992.
