2024 Texas 18th Congressional District Special Election Results

The 2024 Texas 18th Congressional District special election was held on November 5, 2024, to fill the U.S. House seat after longtime Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee died in July 2024, and Democrat Erica Lee Carter won with 67.94% of the vote against Republican challengers. Carter served the remainder of Jackson Lee’s term through January 2025, keeping the heavily Democratic seat in Democratic hands.
